Jane Spakowsky grew up immersed in the artistic culture of Vashon Island in Washington state. She is widely known for her mixed media portraits and has recently began working with oils, Jane has developed a stylized palette unique to her work. Her sense of composition comes naturally. Her subject matter, mostly portraits of women, seems to read like a diary hinting at many aspects of her own life.
